I got my LAWS3205 mid-term back and scored a good mark. I attended the whole lecture. We covered the end of consumer sales law including the Business Practices Act R.S.O. 1990, c. B.18, ss. 17, as am., by S.O. 1994, c. 27, s. 73; S.O. 1998, c. 18, Sched. E., s. 40. and more on unconscionability. We looked at the cases Loyds Bank Ltd. v. Bundy [1974] 3 All E.R. 757 (C.A.), Harry v. Kreutziger (1978) , 95 D.L.R. (3rd) 231 (B.C.C.A.), and Canadian Imperial Bank of Commerce v. Ohlson et al. (1997) 154 D.L.R. (4th) 33 (Alta. C.A.). Then we started to look at consumer credit. We looked at the Human rights code right to credit and the only bar there of credit worthiness. Then we looked at regulatory practices including the Bank Act S.C. 1991, c. 46 as am., 1997, c. 15, s. 55. and the Privacy Model Code for Individual Customers, (1996).
