I did attend the Association of Internet Researchers 2017 conference in Tartu Estonia,.

I enjoyed the presentations and learned more about current Internet technologies and research perspectives on these such as Blockchain and smart contracts to topics of Internet communities or online communities and in this case online communities of love and social support rather than online hate.

Resolving to write more blog posts next year.

This blog about my school studies is one blog I resolve to write more posts for next year, 2018.

I will be attending the Association of Internet Researcher's annual conference this year.

I have my hotel room reserved and my flight booked and paid for now. I have holidays booked off work. My work does not focus solely on Internet Research so I can not get my workplace to pay for this trip.

I last attended a Nobel prize lecture in Toronto at the Ontario Science centre Polanyi in 1986 or 87. He touched on gun control.

This blog is not used much anymore

I have not blogged much since after my first year or two of working in government. Partly this is because I must work at a certain level of secrecy to protect citizen data and citizen personal information. I am working mostly programming in the SAS statistical programming and data management computer language.
