These are the legal studies and geography books I am reading at the moment:
Pepper, David & Jenkins, Alan, The Geography of Peace and War (Oxford: Basil Blackwell, 1985).
I first read this book in Winter term 1987. It concerns war and nuclear war. It is an effort of geographers to join in the 1980's peace movement.
Coaffee, Jon, Terrorism, Risk and the City: the Making of a Contemporary Urban Landscape (Aldershot, Hants, England: Ashgate, 2003).
This book looks at urban design and the fortification of the cities of Belfast and London. It also looks at the insurance industry and Ulrich Beck's the Risk Society.
Frank, Lawrence D. & Engelke, Peter O. & Schmid, Thomas L., Health and Community Design: the Impact of the Built Environment on Physical Activity (Washington: Island, 2003)
Burks, Peter, Unjust Enrichment (Oxford: Oxford, 2003).
