I agreed with a Muslim student in our criminal justice and social policy summer school, tonight that resistance is allowed in UN civil and political rights codes but not terrorism. He said Islamic law also allowed it to defend one's people. I also tend to agree with his definition that rock throwing by kids is resistance where as blowing one's self up is terrorism. Another student thought the difference had to do with the target where resistance was targetting soliders and terrorism was targetting civilians.
