I am reading chapter 2 in Keane, H., What's Wrong with Addiction? (Washington Square, NY: New York University Press, 2002). I finished reading chapter 1 sometime this week. In chapter 2 she looks at various definitons of addiction including the ICD-10 and DSM-IV. She does this by examining which of four views one takes. These four are biological, psychological, social and cultural. She also looks at the World Health Orgnisation Definition.
